Laila Stein
Laila Stein is a recent graduate of Western Michigan University's College of Aviation and an aspiring aviation researcher located in greater Indianapolis. Her passion for flight was initially fueled by her family, who surrounded her from a young age with stories about her grandfather's love of the aviation community. During the final years of her undergraduate education at Western, she combined her knowledge of the collegiate aviation culture and her drive to improve the world around her in her Lee Honors College thesis, "Mental Health in Aviation: A Study of Aviation Students on Their Perceptions of the Federal Aviation Administration's Rules Governing Mental Health." Laila woks both as a certified flight instructor for Jeff Air Pilot Services and as an adjunct professor for Ivy Tech Community College where she teaches private pilot ground school to area high school students.
